Aloha to you all! I'm Angela.

As a new year comes in, I think back at all the meaningful things that happened in 2005. For Na Leo it was a new cd, traveling the East and West Coast, an emotional visit to Ground Zero & St. Paul's Chapel in New York, a great and fun Christmas Concert, and the projection of better things to come!

For me personally, watching my children continue to grow and prepare for college (I'll have 3 in college by fall 2007!!), finding myself spiritually, having a healthy family, and the 1 year anniversary of my husband's passing.

Its been difficult, trying to adjust to life without Ricky...but individually, we're all doing what we have to...basically 2005 was SURVIVAL MODE! I can't put my finger on it...but sometimes I feel him so close to me, its as if he's still here. Then there are times where I can't feel him at all...those are the times I miss him the most. My kids are still trying to find their place in life, trying to keep focused on their goals & dreams...I know in time, they'll get there.

So what do I have to look forward to in 2006? Well, for me it'll be the adoption of my foster-son Kaimana end of March! And the graduation of my eldest daughter Sasha in June. I hope for a healthy and happy 2006 for me and my kids! As for Na Leo, continuing to share our music with the world! The most rewarding thing for me is to see people's faces and their reaction to our songs. When someone comes up to me and says "Your music touched my heart!"...that makes it all worthwhile!!

With that said, I'd like to thank all of you for continuing to support our music and for sharing your love and prayers with me! I hope for a joyful and healthy 2006 for you and your loved ones!.

Angela Morales is an Oahu native. Born and raised in Honolulu, she graduated from Kamehameha Schools in 1984 along with Nalani and Lehua. She attended Leeward Community College for two years, married the love of her life, Ricardo, in 1986 and had 3 children. She worked at the Lualualei Naval Undersea Warfare Center for 10 years.

Angela's passion for her family extends to her community as well. She supports a non-profit organization called Nanakuli Housing Corporation and their HomeOwnership Program, and is an Assistant Tennis coach for Kapolei High School.

This past year we've experienced many changes...but continue to stay focused on the goal:

My son Solomon started college this Spring, his plan is to finish up his core requirements at Leeward Community College (in Hawaii) and transfer to the University of Hawaii, Manoa campus and play football. Taking this step since my husband's passing wasn't easy for him...I'm very proud!

My daughter Sasha is finishing up her Senior year at Kapolei High School. She's an all-around athlete but specializes in softball and tennis. She performed with the Hawaii All-State Marching Band in New York for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and continues to perfect her musical abilities. She too plans on going to Leeward Community College to complete her core classes, then transfer to a music school (unless she gets an awesome scholarship we can't refuse!) One of her goals in life...to be a performer in STOMP! We'll be sending them her resume and video soon!!

My youngest daughter Sheldeen is a Junior at Kapolei High School. She's in the Graphics Academy, performs with the Dance Club & High School Choir, and is currently in the cast of the Spring production of "The Sound Of Music". She also plays tennis....when I make her!

Then there's my baby...Stetson (we call him by his middle name..Kaimana). He just started Kindergarten this year and seems to be adjusting well. Its harder for him to understand my profession and doesn't like when I travel (he's not at that age yet of knowing 'mom will brings back presents') but does his best.

The greatest gifts God has given me are my children. I hope that everything I do in life...makes them proud of me!
